THE ROTARY CLUB OF MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATES

Our members and our partners are dedicated to increasing awareness of mental health and substance use disorders, we use education and conversation to support those in need. By collaborating with government and non-profit partners, we strive to improve community well-being and create a future of greater understanding for everyone.

WHAT WE DO

The Rotary Club of Mental Health Advocates, in collaboration with the 74 Rotary clubs of District 7475 and the nine counties we serve, is dedicated to three core objectives:

  • Educational Sessions and Training: We aim to increase awareness within Rotary clubs and among their members by delivering educational sessions and training programs led by distinguished experts in Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD).

  • Community and Agency Engagement: We partner closely with individual clubs, empowering them to connect with their local communities and relevant agencies to bolster both prevention initiatives and treatment resources.

  • Eliminating Stigma: Our goal is to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use disorders. We achieve this by educating the public and offering a clear roadmap towards a "Stigma Free" environment. We provide a Stigma Free toolkit and, while our primary focus is on Mental Health and SUD, we emphasize that eliminating stigma is crucial across all societal areas to fight prejudice and discrimination.

Attend an MHA virtual meeting

We convene virtually twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays at 5:30 PM. Each meeting features a subject matter expert who shares insights on various aspects of mental health and wellness. All are welcome to join us.
